The UN and WHO Show Their True Colors: China Red

Won’t get fooled again.” — The Who, 1971

“Just fooled you again.” — The WHO, 2021

The Who was my favorite rock-and-roll band growing up and remains a favorite to this day. That’s because their music speaks to timeless truths and speaks truth to power as well — to the establishment, to social trends, to The Man.

Won’t Get Fooled Again is widely considered one of The Who’s greatest songs, and rightly so. For many, it has reached anthem status. At its heart, the song is about the perpetual triumph of corruption. It’s about how revolutions occur over and over, but all eventually seem to follow the same course and end up the same way…

With the supposedly liberated people being used, misled, manipulated, oppressed and disillusioned. This rings true in all sorts of ways these days. And one place I hear it echoing especially clearly is in the United Nations and many of its agencies, especially the World Health Organization.

Both of these entities originated in dynamic and revolutionary ways in the years immediately following WWII. Both had noble goals, too — a peaceful and healthy world. And for a while, they both did a lot of admirable work for the betterment of humanity in the name of those goals.

But now…

It seems the inevitable corruption The Who warned us about has taken hold

There’s substantial evidence to suggest that the United Nations is now more or less in China’s pocket — and actively assisting that Communist nation in its pursuit of global hegemony under the guise of international fairness, safety, equality and prosperity.

Here are just a few of the facts proving the PRC’s influence over the UN is significant and on the rise:

  • China has recently surpassed Japan to become the second-largest financial contributor to the UN — fully 12% of the organization’s annual budget now comes from the People’s Republic
  • Chinese nationals now head up four out of the UN’s 15 specialized agencies, including strategically critical ones focused on industrial development, food and agriculture, and telecommunications (see also: Huawei)
  • For 14 years running, the undersecretary-general for the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs has been from China — senior Chinese officials also now hold leadership posts in several subsidiary offices of the UN as well
  • China has linked its sweeping Belt and Road Initiative to the UN Environment Program, further legitimizing this thinly-veiled plan to take economic control of the entire eastern hemisphere

There’s more I could say, too, but you get the point. China’s slowly taking over the UN just like it does everything else when the U.S. sits back and allows it to happen.

Why does the PRC need the UN in its pocket to achieve global domination?

They probably don’t, frankly. But it sure makes things easier and faster in a hundred different ways. Some cases in point…

Even though they have the world’s second-largest economy, have more billionaires than any other country, and are by far the largest polluter nation on the planet, the PRC is still classified as “developing” by the UN. This classification confers massive economic advantage on China in numerous ways — including with regard to reforms and mitigation standards involving the climate.

For instance, under the UN’s much-vaunted Paris Agreement, the “developed” U.S. would have to reduce its greenhouse gas output to well under 2005 levels within the next four years. But “developing” China can continue to increase their GHG output, without limit, until 2030. After that, they’d only have to freeze future emissions at the 2030 level, not reduce them.

This is one reason why it behooves the PRC to be wearing the daddy pants at the United Nations. The bigger China’s funding contributions and the more power they wield within that organization — including over the criteria used to categorize the development status of member states — the less ability and resolve the UN will have to hold them accountable for ruining the planet.

The same sort of thing is happening on the technology front, too. With their partisan foot-soldiers leading key industry, business and telecommunications agencies (and more to come, no doubt), it’ll be much easier for China to monetize their technology moving forward — whether it’s stolen or legitimately developed — among many of the UN’s member states.

This, in turn, will further China’s international intelligence and data-gathering objectives. These are all 100% honorable and above-board, of course.

Again, I could walk you through more of this kind of stuff. But I don’t need to do that, because it all leads up to one point anyway: Of all the ways in which the PRC is infiltrating and taking over the UN and its agencies…

What worries me most is China’s obvious influence over the World Health Organization

According to Mike Pompeo, former CIA Director and U.S. Secretary of State, there’s credible intelligence proving that Tedros Ghebreyesus’ election to the post of WHO Director-General (DG) in 2017 was “bought by the Chinese government.” A whole lot of field evidence suggests that this is true, as well.

For instance, the WHO officially knew about SARS-CoV-2 on Dec. 31 2019, yet consistently downplayed the virus — and delayed declaring the disease a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) until Jan. 30, 2020. By then, it had reached at least 18 countries.

Two days before this declaration — on Jan. 28, 2020 — Ghebreyesus traveled to Beijing to meet with Xi Jinping. After that meeting, he basically went on a PR tour for the PRC, praising China in the following weeks for “setting a new standard for outbreak control,” and for its “openness to sharing information” and for having “bought the world time.”

At the same time, Ghebreyesus was urging other nations not to close their borders to inbound travelers from China. In what world does that make sense? Declare an international public health emergency over an ultra-contagious killer virus — but don’t shut down travel to and from its epicenter?

I’ll tell you in what world a move like this makes sense…

One in which China is pulling the strings.

For proof of this, one need only look back at the SARS outbreak in 2003. In that case, a still-objective and independent WHO was quick to issue an advisory against travel into and out of the region where that virus originated — also southern China. Dr. Gro Harlem Bruntland, WHO Director-General at the time, also called out the PRC for trying to cover up the outbreak, potentially putting the world’s health at risk.

Since then, however, China has radically increased their funding of the WHO. In fact, they’ve upped their influence-buying — er, financial contributions — by more than 50% in the last six calendar years alone. Add all this up, and is it really any wonder that a team of WHO “scientists” visiting China a few weeks ago found it “extremely unlikely” that SARS-CoV-2 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology?

As usual, I could go on and on about this. There are lots of layers to this onion. But to me, it all boils down to a very frightening bottom-line question…

Why would China want to control the World Health Organization?

It’s obvious why they’d want to control the UN overall, and certain powerful agencies within it. There are trillions of dollars to be made by taking behind-the-scenes command of that organization. And likely trillions more in environmental and human-rights expenses or penalties to be avoided. I get that.

But it’s not like the WHO is the gate-keeper to massive inflows of money and power for the PRC. Or if it is, it couldn’t possible be on the same scale as other UN agencies focused on technology, industry, agriculture, telecom, trade, etc.

So could it be that China wanted to lock down credible cover and messaging control for a global pandemic they’ve known for years would one day spread from their nation to infect the world — whether naturally, accidentally, or on purpose?

Also, wouldn’t infiltrating the UN and WHO give China some measure of protection against the reparations actions that would inevitably follow such a disaster?

It all seems more than possible to me. It also makes me wonder about terrible things no one should ever have to ponder…

Like whether this whole pandemic was part of a diabolical plan to hamper the free world’s economy, while accelerating China’s ambitions toward global domination.

Because as I laid out at length in my last article, that’s exactly what SARS-CoV-2 has done. If you apply the “qui bono” test here, the big winner in all this is the PRC.

So again I ask you, Joe: What are you going to do about this?

Incorruptibly Yours,
